The demand for counselling has grown considerably over the past year or so as people have been hit by the recession and  all the stresses that follow on from that

Fear of losing one’s job, coping with actual redundancy,  money worries, all these added stresses can affect both our  physical and mental health.  In turn this puts an added strain  on relationships and families. The waiting lists for free  counselling have grown and grown.  The alternative to waiting  months or even years for this service is private counselling.   But many people cannot afford the cost of this, most  especially at this current time

I really do believe that counselling should be accessible to all and it seems unfair that at a time  when stresses are greatest, something that could maybe alleviate pain and anxiety is itself out of reach of many people.   Consequently I keep my fees low for both individual and  couple counselling
